Nature and countryside

Farmhouse “Fristerhof” is situated in a former 18th Century farmhouse. Like many farmhouses in the locality “Fristerhof” is built on a so called 'Terp' (German - Warft ) or artificial mound. This provides a magnificent view of the local surroundings.

Bird lovers

Bird lovers are flabbergasted at the rich bird life in the bird sanctuaries.

The Duffelt

The farmhouse is centred in the middle of the Nature Reservation “De Duffelt” which stretches from the Millingerwaard and reaches through to the Reichswald. This area is especially suitable for cycle and hiking trips.

The Ooijpolder

With it's fascinating cycle routes and paths, also provides welcome landscape for nature lovers. The villages of Groesbeek, Zyfflich, Kranenburg, Kesteren and the Duivelsberg (Devil's Mount) are all within cycling distance.

The Millingerwaard

Farmhouse “Fristerhof” lies only a short distance from the Millingerwaard.
