Holiday Home Farmhouse Fristerhof lies in the village of Keeken: a village of 400 inhabitants just over the border from Holland. Millingen lies just 3 km, Kleve 6 km and Nijmegen at distance of 18 km away.
Boundless energy
Millingen a/d Rijn as well as Kleve have both a lively and inviting centre full of shops, restaurants and unfamiliar corners. If you are wanting to taste the local culture then a visit to the Bevrijdingsmuseum (Liberation museum) in Groesbeek, the Afrika Museum in Berg & Dal, Museum Valkhof in Nijmegen or Haus Koekoek for modern Arts in Kleve is very worthwile.
Sauna's & water sports
In Emmerich and GochNess one can find sauna's with inner and outer baths complete with water cannon and tunnel water slides. One can take a trip in a hot air balloon, a boat trip or hire a coach in Millingen. You can cycle along an old disused railway line by Draisine between Kleve, Kranenburg, Groesbeek and Nijmegen.
Children don't have to be bored:
- take the ferry to Schenkenschanz, Gendt, Doorenburg
- enjoy watersport around the Bijland yacht harbour
- visit a playground in Keeken, Bimmen, Millingen, Kleve, Nijmegen
- take a swim in the swimming baths of either GochNess, Kleve or Emmerich.
